If you decide to take up golf without investing in a few lessons first (like our friend former NBA All Star, Charles Barkley did) you're bound to develop some bad habits. And once those bad habits get locked into muscle memory, don't expect a few training sessions to fix it! It's going to take time and repetition to undo the damage.
Likewise, if your spine develops poor alignment and dysfunction from years of bad habits (i.e. not being checked for Subluxations regularly), don't expect a few sessions at the Chiropractor's to reverse the damage. A corrective care schedule is likely needed to re-train 'normal' back into your spine - undoing years of structural weakness, faulty muscle memory and abnormal motion. The good news? You rarely hear drug commercials on the radio. You can't pull off that off with radio.
This year, the FDA has urged pharmaceutical companies to stop using distracting images and music in their TV drug ads following complaints that manufacturers deliberately used misleading techniques to downplay their products' risks while emphasizing potential benefits. The FDA suggested they use highlights to emphasize documented side effects and slow the pace at which the risks were being read so viewers could better understand the drug's potential dangers. We have a better solution.
Next time a drug commercial comes on TV, just close your eyes and LISTEN... like you would to a radio spot. The side effects will be more apparent (and disturbing) when you're not distracted by the 'pretty visuals' that mask them. Big Pharma doesn't want you to pay attention to the risks associated with their drugs. But if you close your eyes and listen closely you'll realize just how ridiculous, dangerous and deadly their products can be. It's a practice that could save your life.
Many Chiropractic patients (especially those new to care) make the mistake of crediting the 'adjustment' for healing them, or taking away their pain. Actually, adjustments don't heal ANYTHING... it's the time you stay IN adjustment, allowing your innate intelligence to heal you, that produces the result.
Healing is a process of re-creating itself - replacing sick, old, tired cells with newer, stronger ones over time. The quality of those new, replaced cells depends on your body's natural recuperative abilities to work uninterrupted.
